This year’s final, held at Sydney Parade in Dublin, saw Clontarf Cricket Club secure a confident victory over Pembroke to take home the 2025 title.
The final brought together two of the province’s most promising youth sides, with Clontarf’s U17 Girls delivering a composed all-round performance to lift the cup and book their place in the upcoming All-Ireland competition. Their success highlights the strength and continued growth of girls’ cricket across Leinster.
Pembroke won the toss and chose to bat first on home ground. Despite early pressure from Clontarf’s bowling attack, a resilient partnership between Georgia Beatty and Jessica Duffy Mullen helped the hosts to a total of 116/8 from their 20 overs. Clontarf responded with discipline and composure, overcoming the early loss of a wicket before Genevieve Morrissey and Sinead Thompson took control. Morrissey remained unbeaten on 58 as Clontarf reached their target with 8 wickets in hand.
We are delighted to continue our sponsorship of this important competition, helping nurture the next generation of cricketing talent across Ireland. Supporting youth sport is a core part of our values, focused on long-term, sustainable investment and strengthening the communities in which we operate.
We extend our congratulations to the players, coaches and volunteers at Clontarf Cricket Club on their well-earned success and wish them the very best as they prepare to represent Leinster at the national level.
We look forward to continuing our partnership with Cricket Leinster and playing an active role in promoting the development of youth cricket throughout the country.
