Gresham House further enhances sustainable investment focus through appointment of Rebecca Craddock-Taylor
13 July 2020, London
In this newly created role, Rebecca will develop and integrate the company’s sustainable investment policies and processes across our Strategic Equity and Real Assets divisions’ investment strategies. Alongside this, she will oversee the provision of identifiable metrics to highlight the sustainable aspects of Gresham House’s investment capabilities.
As specialist experts in fast-growing alternative asset classes such as renewable energy and battery storage, forestry, social housing and sustainable infrastructure, Gresham House has placed sustainability at the core of all its investment strategies.
In March 2020, it announced a five-year strategy, GH25, which will build on the steps that the company has taken already to develop its extensive experience in the area to become a recognised leader in sustainable investment.
The company focuses on generating long-term, sustainable financial returns for investors whilst providing environmental and social benefits, aligned to the UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), for wider stakeholders. In the past year, the company codified its approach with the establishment of a Sustainable Investing Committee which ensures delivery against the Sustainable Investment Policies that are embedded across each stage of the investment lifecycle and across stakeholder groups. Gresham House is also a signatory of the Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI).
Rebecca is an ESG and sustainable investment specialist. She joins from Univest where she was an ESG Strategist, leading on the development of the company’s sustainability framework across their investment approach.
Prior to this, Rebecca was an Investment Consultant and Responsible Investment adviser at pensions consultancy Hymans Robertson, where she worked closely with clients to develop and enhance their approaches to responsible investment and ESG.
Tony Dalwood says:
“We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca to the senior team at a time when Gresham House is taking meaningful steps to ensure that sustainable investing is embedded across the business. We are looking forward to her experience driving our policy and measurement objectives, whilst promoting our position as leaders in this area of asset management and helping our clients to realise the opportunities within sustainable investing.”
“Gresham House has an authentic commitment to sustainability and I am excited to be joining the firm at a time when environmental and social factors have been shown to have such a profound effect on our economic systems.
My dedication to sustainability will ensure I support Gresham House’s plans to become a leader in sustainable investment. I thoroughly look forward to taking our current approach into the next phase of development.”
